Identix EZ230 and EZ270 are high performance ultra-compact IoT gateways that combines reading of passive RAIN RFID tags and BLE beacon scanning capabilities in the same device.

 

• EZ230 delivers maximum RF power of +23dBm, for reading tags up to 2.5 meters away.

 

• EZ270 output power goes up to +27dBm which allows further distances up to 6m depending on the type of tag and antenna used.

Both models have two RF ports with SMA connectors for connecting external RFID antennas. Capacity can be further expanded up to 16 antennas when using the optional CATENA smart antennas multiplexer.

 

The embedded RFID reader can optionally operate in "keyboard wedge mode" (keyboard emulation via USB HID) along with the automatic decoding of RFID EPC data in GS1 format (SGTIN96-198) to UPC / EAN-13 barcode format. These features allow seamless and immediate integration with all applications prepared for use with barcode readers without the need of new software development and integration.
